Can little things make a big difference in your organization’s culture?

Simple tricks to create a team environment

Today we are joined by Scott Young, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Lincoln. The Food Bank is a dynamic and growing Scott Youngorganization, and Scott attributes much of the success to the culture among staff, board and volunteers.

After nearly being the “1st runner up” for the job, Scott has spent 13 years in his position with the Food Bank. Along the way, he’s learned a great deal about leadership and management.

Scott shares his guiding principles for curating culture, how to identify culture fits before hiring, and how to react when “bumps in the road” inevitably come up. He also gives some great advice to new and aspiring nonprofit executives.
